Lean 6 Sigma - Yellow Belt with Master Black Belt Chris Reed

NZIM is running another session on Lean Six Sigma topics which are now of gathering interest to the NZIM membership. Attendees qualify for a Yellow Belt training certificate. Lean Six Sigma is becoming the process improvement toolkit of choice capable of reducing defects by focusing on the key root causes and improving flow by eliminating non value added activities. The Yellow belt level is an introduction course to Lean Six Sigma to enable participants to start their process improvement journey. If you are a Team Leader or manager interested in process improvement, this programme is for you and is a 'gateway' to the Green Belt level.

Lean 6 Sigma - Green Belt with Master Black Belt Chris Reed

The Green Belt level is a Lean Six Sigma practitioner's course and enables participants to continue (from Yellow Belt) or start their process improvement journey. Typical target audiences are candidates from within a company or self employed that are looking to add lean and problem solving toolkits and roadmaps to their current skill-set to enable them to complete continuous improvement projects. Suitable candidates could come from all levels in an organisation depending on the focus for process improvement. The Green Belt course builds onto the one day Yellow Belt course offered by NZIM or can be taken as a separate standalone course. Covered over nine days, Green Belt covers a Lean Six Sigma fully blended version of DMAIC and overview course of Design for Six Sigma using Define, Measure, Analyse, Design and Verify (DMADV).

Project Management with Alan Schofield

This programme will provide participants with the knowledge, skills and best practices needed to be an effective project manager in a variety of environments. The programme is highly practical and participatory involving brainstorming, case studies, individual and group exercises and application of project management principles to the participants' own workplaces. A major project planning exercise and presentation are included.
