Organisational Culture is probably best defined as “the way we do things around here”.
It determines the way the people in an organisation:
Regard and treat each other, their job and their organisation
Approach their challenges, solve their problems and learn from their successes or mistakes
TARGET AUDIENCE
This programme is designed for senior executives and leaders from organisations in the private as well as the public sector. It is particularly useful if the participant wishes to revitalise an organisation or lift it to a higher level of performance, effectiveness and internal cohesion.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
After successful completion of this programme, it is expected you will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics of your current culture and compare them with those of successful cultural models in your field of business
- Use this information to assess the extent of cultural characteristics, as well as the needs of your own organisation
- Visualise and strategise your role in the introduction, redirection or enhancement of cultural development initiatives
- Motivate, guide and coach others to “help spread the culture”
- Manage colliding or resistant cultures
- Assess the effect of your organisation’s culture on performance and productivity
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
In this dynamic programme, participants will be presented with the latest empirical research in the area of organisational culture and development. However, it is expressly aimed at participants as leadership practitioners. The programme will make use of “real-life” examples and case studies, presented for joint analysis. In addition to exposure to ideas and experiences of other participants, the programme will leave ample room and give encouragement to develop participants’ own strategies and implementation plans.
