| BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Every organisation today has a culture consisting of values, stories and rituals. Stories communicate the language of the heart and express all our emotions and feelings.
Those in a leadership role walk the tightrope of balancing their time between inspiring their team, getting buy-in for ideas, implementing strategy, managing tasks, building relationships, coaching others and a whole myriad of other demands. The one element that all these demands have in common is - communication.
These days, being an effective communicator isn't a nice to have - it's a must-have! Become a better storyteller and you will be a more effective communicator and enjoy success in meeting the demands of work.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The two day programme covers the following:
Part One: The Why and What of Organisational Storytelling
This part comprises of the theory and practise of organisational storytelling.
It includes case studies which illustrate the importance of storytelling for leaders. The participants will be exposed to success stories, and fully understand the impact they can have within their departments and organisation as a whole on a daily basis. The leaders will develop an awareness of how story impacts not only on getting buy in for the vision but also knowledge sharing and influencing others.
The four main types of stories that every leader should know and be telling are covered plus a simple structure is imparted that they can use to improve their storytelling skills. This structure brings participants' natural storytelling ability to their conscious level that they can in turn use as a checklist for any story.
Part Two: The When and Where of Organisational Storytelling
This part of the session involves participants getting a deeper understanding of when to best use stories at work and where they get their stories from. They will tap into their natural reservoir of stories and leaders leave this session clear on what they need to do to engage employees and with tools to do so.
Participants get to write a story that best meets their needs and have the opportunity to hone, practise and deliver a story that they will be able to call upon time and time again.
