| COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this stand alone unit students will gain an understanding of how performance measures are developed and implemented across the organisation and specifically for construction projects using the NZ National KPI's.
Students will also be shown how to design an improvement system using performance measures as a basis and a step by step approach to creatively solving challenges.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of the module, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of performance measurement as an improvement tool
- Be able to design performance measures
- Be able to design and implement a performance measurement system
- Demonstrate understanding of the linkage of organisation performance measures to organisation strategy
- Be able to lead the design and implementation of a performance improvement action group
TUTOR & GUEST LECTURE
Amanda Warren
Amanda is a managing Partner of Constructing Excellence (NZ) Ltd. and is an experienced Management Consultant. She has delivered successful outcomes on a wide range of change programmes specifically within the construction sector both in the UK and New Zealand. Previously she worked with MACE in the UK and lead significant elements of the UK construction change movement.
Guest Lecture - Warren Chapman - Business Development Manager - Mainzeal Ltd
Key Note Paper - "The Value of the Integrated Team"
Warren will talk on his area of expertise and bring it into context of the New Zealand construction industry's needs now and in the future.
