BUSINESS CHALLENGE
By completing Train the Trainer, Needs Analysis & Programme Design or Facilitation Skills plus Workplace Assessment (including assessments) participants can receive the National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 4)
TARGET AUDIENCE
The National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 4) is a qualification for people delivering and/or assessing adult education and training. This qualification has been designed for people with diverse backgrounds and experience who are seeking a qualification in the adult education and training field.
SPECIAL NOTES
It is acknowledged that many people may already have the competence in the outcomes specified in individual standards. Those people are able to seek recognition of current competency (RCC) through NZIM (an accredited provider).
People awarded this qualification are able to identify diverse cultural needs of learners, and establish and maintain a culturally safe and inclusive learning environment. The first elective in the qualification reflects competency in the delivery and assessment of adult education and training and may include skills gained in an open and distance learning environment. The second elective requires standards from the Adult Education and Training subfield, selected to best suit the type of adult education and training in which the candidate is involved. The qualification allows flexibility to accommodate different personal, work, and skill requirements from across the National Qualifications Framework.
The National Certificate in Adult Education and Training Level 4 is linked to the following NZIM programmes (a minimum of 40 credits must be completed to be awarded the qualification).
- Train the Trainer – 4 days (7091, 7155, 7096, 7108 or 19444)
- Needs Analysis and Programme Design – 2 days (7093, 7103 or 7105)
- Or Facilitation Skills – 2 days (7097)
- Workplace Assessment – 2 days (4098, 11281)
Check with your Industry Training Organisation (ITO) for possible options of funding.
