22nd July - Regional Awards YEYA & Graduation Evening

NZIM Northern Regional Young Executive of the Year & Graduation Evening

with Guest Speaker Daniel Batten - "Leadership  - the Gen X Perspective"
In partnership with Management Magazine & Babich Wines

The Directors of The New Zealand Institute of Management would like to invite you  to our Young Executive of the Year (YEYA) and Graduation event.

At this evening we acknowledge our Northern Region Young Executive winner as well as our Graduates from programmes including Project Management, Managerial Excellence, First Line Management and many other qualifications. and hear from our Guest Speaker Daniel Batten on "Leadership from a Gen X Perspective".

By the end of this decade, a fundamental shift in leadership will have taken place: the majority of the nations senior leaders and management will be GenX or GenY.

  • What does this mean to today's Young Executives?
  • How can you arrive there well before 2020?
  • How can you bring something new to your position, while integrating the best of the generation before?
To be a top leader today, Harvard Business School research discovered we need "Integrative Thinking" - the ability to synthesise the best of two seemingly contradictory qualities to arrive at
a new approach which is superior to either.

Daniel Batten has developed practical tools for top GenX and GenY executives. These tools enabled Daniel to start one company that today exports into 64 international markets, and another that reached profitability 5 months from conception. By applying the tools from his talk, you can gain credibility, influence, sustainability and profitability in one integrated package. Daniel is an acclaimed executive mentor, author of "The 6 Secrets to Incredible Influence" and "How to Own a Million Dollar Startup in as Little as 365 Days" and an international keynote speaker.

This has traditionally been an excellent event for all involved with NZIM, with music, wine tasting compliments of Babich Wines and much more. We would love to see you there.
